Soap creek trail

From GlobalMotion

Jump to: navigation, search

Soap Creek, an intermittant stream has built a sandbar across the Colorado River. Many river runners put in at Lees Ferry, so rafts can be often seen from the confluence. The rafters are facing their first real rapid and often are unaware of hikers. Floats that leave late in the day have a campsite where the river canyon opens up. The river is so popular that trips foat by regularly.

The Soap Creek hike and camp offer an alternative experience. Get to know the river, the canyon, and solitude instead of fellow packaged tourists.
